Kinlight LLC is a Utah-based company founded to build a genuinely safe, genuinely warm AI companion for Christian families — one a parent can actually hand to their kids, and one adults in the household can use too.
We believe an AI safety product for families needs to do more than block bad words. Kinlight is built around a layered safety system — deterministic detection for the most serious situations (like self-harm risk or a possible disclosure of abuse), a values-grounded model for everyday conversation, and a review layer that checks every response before it reaches your child. Concerning moments are surfaced to a parent through a private, encrypted dashboard; ordinary conversation stays private.
Kinlight's values framework is built on a Reformed-evangelical Christian foundation — the Ten Commandments as a floor, and a posture of explaining plainly rather than condemning, in the spirit of writers like C.S. Lewis and Tim Keller.

Naveen has spent over 20 years in engineering leadership across regulated, compliance-heavy software — healthcare, construction technology, and quality management systems — before building Kinlight to bring that same rigor to a product for his own family.
