By creating a Kinlight account or using the Kinlight application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Kinlight.
A Kinlight account may only be created by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for creating and managing profiles for any children in their household. Kinlight is not intended to be signed up for directly by a child.
Kinlight provides an AI-based conversational companion, filtered and guided by a stated values framework, intended for use by families. Kinlight includes automated safety features intended to reduce the likelihood of harmful content reaching a child, but these features are not a substitute for parental supervision, and no automated system can catch every possible situation.
Parents are responsible for setting up profiles appropriately for their children's ages, for reviewing content flagged through the family dashboard, and for maintaining an active role in their children's use of the service. Kinlight is a tool intended to support a parent's judgment, not replace it.
You agree not to attempt to circumvent Kinlight's safety systems, use the service to generate content intended to harm yourself or others, or use the service in any way that violates applicable law.
Kinlight's responses are generated by an AI system and, while designed to reflect a stated set of values and to prioritize safety, may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not fully reflect the intended values framework. Kinlight should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or pastoral advice.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a safety risk. A parent may close their family's account at any time by contacting us.
Kinlight is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kinlight LLC disclaims liability for any harm arising from use of the service, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Kinlight after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
