Need help with Kinlight? We're here.
Email us at hello@kinlight.ai and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Log into the parent dashboard with your email — your family's shareable chat link is shown right at the top, and you can copy it or open it directly from there.
First, check your spam or junk folder. Kinlight doesn't use passwords — every login is a secure "magic link" sent to your email, so if the email hasn't arrived after a few minutes, request a new one from the dashboard's login screen rather than trying to guess a password (there isn't one).
From the parent dashboard, open the Subscription card and use "Manage billing" to reach our secure Stripe billing portal, where you can update your plan, payment method, or cancel at any time. You can also switch plans directly from that same card.
Kinlight is operated by KinlightAI, Inc. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time, directly from the app — there's no waiting period, and you don't need to contact us first (though you're always welcome to).
Open the Kinlight app, or go to app.kinlight.ai/parent.html on the web. Tap your account icon, then tap Account and family. Scroll down and tap Delete account, type your family's exact name to confirm, then tap Delete our family's account.
This permanently deletes every family member's profile, their conversations, Kinlight's alerts and notes, saved memory, and your family's sign-ins — it can't be undone. Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time (if you're billed through the App Store, the app will first ask you to cancel it in your iPhone's Settings, since Kinlight can't cancel an App Store subscription for you).
To remove a single child without deleting the rest of your family's account, open the Family tab, tap that child, and tap Remove [child's name] from the family near the bottom of their page. This permanently deletes that one child's conversations, flagged events, and saved memory, leaving every other family member untouched.
A student account provided by a partner school (Kinlight for Schools) belongs to that school, not to your personal Kinlight account. Only the school's own administrator can delete it — either that one student's account, or the school's entire account — from the school's own dashboard. If you'd like your child's account removed, contact your child's school directly and ask them to do so, or email us at hello@kinlight.ai and we'll help coordinate with the school.
If you're a parent who signs in only to see your child's school information, with no family account of your own, deleting your own account (the same "Delete account" steps above) removes your Kinlight sign-in, your notification preferences, and any notes or messages you've drafted to a teacher. It does not touch your child's school records or the consent you signed — that stays with the school, and remains the school's record even after you delete your own sign-in. To withdraw that consent, contact the school directly.
You can also request deletion by emailing hello@kinlight.ai. Please include:
We'll confirm with you once it's done.
Everything described above, including profiles, conversations, flagged events, saved memory, sign-ins, and the technical safety log of messages and responses, is deleted immediately and permanently when you delete an account or a child's profile. We have no way to recover it afterward.
The only exception is a separate internal error log, used only when a safety check briefly fails to run, which may include the text of that one message. It isn't linked to any profile, and it is deleted automatically 270 days after each entry is written.
For a school account specifically, assignments, grades, attendance, and behavior records belong to the school, not to any one family, and are kept for as long as the school's own Kinlight account stays active — see our Privacy Policy for the full explanation of school records.
Check our Frequently Asked Questions, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, or just email hello@kinlight.ai — a real person reads every message.
